If you’ve been to Bonnaroo, you already know about The Code. There are a number of phrases that the entire community keeps close that embody the spirit of the festival. Two of them have been very near and dear to us, as they’re lessons and mantras that help us through much of everyday life as well.
Radiating Positivity and Staying True Roo are two things that live far beyond the long weekend in Manchester. In addition to being reminders to love your fellow Bonnaroovian, they’re helpful in making life that much enjoyable. Radiating the type of positivity that you encounter on the Farm throughout the rest of the year brings a joy to yourself and others that Stays True to Roo.
With that in mind, we asked on our social media feeds how you’re doing each of these things in the Bonnaroo offseason. Some of these are so touching and are reminders as to why we love being a part of this community so much!
I’m taking my crew to @MoonRiverFest this weekend, volunteering at @AmericanaFest next week so I can get entry into events, & then taking the family to @PilgrimageFest the week after. Look for my Bonnaroo hat everywhere live music is played! pic.twitter.com/2M89bTOBse

It’s hard to put into words. The experience of Bonnaroo reframed my idea of society. Where I would have a bad attitude or feel like a task was too overwhelming, I now have a more positive outlook on life and have more confidence in myself to do things. I try to spread this magic.

My first Roo in 2012 changed my life. I’m a more open, caring, and thoughtful person. A person who is more connected to herself and others. I try to live that empathy and compassion everyday. Just got this Roo tattoo as a reminder and badge of honor. pic.twitter.com/Ka4E1dlLGS
