It’s been a long Winter, but now that Spring has arrived, Roo is getting much closer. We’re just under two months to go until we all return to the Farm. With Bonnaroo creeping closer and closer, the Roo Community is coming out of hibernation with much happening and being prepped for June.
Nashville Ready To Roo Event
We had an amazing time co-hosting a very well attended Ready to Roo Meetup at Centennial Park in Nashville this past month. The Roochute made its first appearance of the season, we had a super-helpful conflict resolution workshop, a dance-off, and an appearance and giveaways from one of the official Bonnaroo Ready to Roo vans!
Huge thanks to the Roochute crew for taking the chute to Nashville for us all to play with, Nick for hosting the workshop, Celia for all of her contributions from RooFit, as well as everyone who came out to hang and play! Let’s do more of these in the future!

Reddaroo in Wonderland
One of the biggest and greatest Group Camps of Bonnaroo announced their theme for 2019: Reddaroo in Wonderland! Reddaroo always does an amazing job to host some fun events, contests, and other shenanigans that follow their theme for the year, we’re excited to see what kind of trippy things they’ve got planned around their mad tea party this year.
We’re especially looking forward to this year’s Saturday Beer Exchange, which will feature a custom brew from Pontoon Brewing. The winning name for the custom Reddaroo / Bonnaroo beer was “Curious Cuppa Tea-chno,” which will have “notes of jasmine, strawberry and rhubarb, then aged on wild blueberries, freshly peeled lemon zest and lactose.”
Their custom brew will not only be available at the Beer Exchange, but also be at the Broo’ers Festival inside Centeroo too!
Exit 111 Festival
You may have seen on social media in the past few weeks that AC Entertainment has announced the first festival aside from Bonnaroo to be happening at Great Stage Park. It’s called Exit 111 Festival, named for the exit off of Interstate 24 that we all turn onto to enter the Farm on Bushy Branch Road.
It looks to be more of a Hard Rock / Classic Rock festival, with offerings for that type of crowd that include a car show and motocross demos. We’ve heard that Guns N Roses, System of a Down, and ZZ Top are some of the names that are expected at this three day event on the Farm in September.
Roo Bus Appearances
Like we’d mentioned on our own social media feeds recently, the Roo Bus itself is out of Winter hibernation. Our crew took the past few months to clean out the fuel lines and install a new fuel pump, making her ready for a fun festival season. If you’re near the Huntsville, Alabama area, you should be able to catch us soon at things like Lowe Mill’s Concerts on the Dock. Just keep an eye on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts for info!
And yes, we will have announcements sometime in May about our Wednesday night party. Stay tuned!
