What’s Happening in the Bonnaroo Community: February 2019

We’re quickly nearing the end of Winter and Roo Season is approachin’.  Now that things are beginning to ramp up as we get closer to June, we wanted to take a look at some of the things happening in the Roo community.  From the condition of the Farm in the recent floods, to cool things from groups like the Roo Tang Clan, Roo Chute, and Roo Fitness are up to, we wanted to take a quick look at what’s happening important to our awesome tribe.

First off, you might have heard that a lot of Southern Middle Tennessee and around our area in North Alabama suffered a week of nearly a foot of rain this past week.  Our thoughts are with everyone who had their homes flooded, we’re radiating some positivity your way as everything begins to dry out.

Even the Farm underwent some flooding this past week, this photo and video was sent to us by our good buddy Rebecca French in Manchester.   The Bonnaroo grounds are certainly spongey and soaked, but it does look as if most of it stayed above water.  Some of the areas near the Grove and around Pods 6 and 7 are a little flooded out, but that looks to be the extent of it.  Thankfully, things will certainly dry out by June.

We hear that our good buddy Ron and the rest of the Parachute People with the Roo Chute are going to be hosting a Roo Reunion some fun activities in Nashville on the weekend of March 23rd in Nashville!

Knowing what kind of shenanigans that their crew gets up to, there’s likely to be other fun stuff happening, but they will be hosting a big group gathering at the Jungle concert at Marathon Music Works.  The giant pizza party that we tagged along with them was a huge hit the last time we all partied with Jungle, so this should be a blast.

Roo Fitness

If you’ve missed it in recent months, our good buddy Celia with Roo Fitness is in the middle of hosting the Shred For Bonnaroo Six Week Challenge!

As most of us know, Roo can be a marathon that can take a big toll on your body, and can often require weeks or months of preparation to get in shape.  Celia is the resident fitness expert of the Roo community, and is helping us all get in raving shape for June.  Her program even has some cool things like t-shirts and cash prizes as well!

We’re just a little over 100 days out from the best weekend of the year, we look forward to seeing what all of you are up to both before and and Roo!
